BLUE
CARBON

Science, GHG Inventories, NDC Support and Implementation

We provide comprehensive support to blue carbon actions, including designing science-based programs and delivering action-focused solutions in line with the Paris Agreement. As lead authors of IPCC guidance, notably the 2013 Wetland Supplement, our staff is highly experienced and equipped to partner with governments, research organizations, and leading scientists worldwide for capacity building and delivery.

Methodology Development, Carbon Project Development

Silvestrum has extensive experience in soil carbon research and wetland restoration. Our team is experienced in developing and implementing methodologies for quantifying carbon sequestration in coastal wetlands and peatlands. We assist clients in assessing and delivering blue carbon projects, but also reforestation an improved agriculture, with a focus on sustainability, science-based practices, and effective climate action.

Due Diligence, Legal Implementation, and Transactions

Silvestrum, with the integrated legal expertise of Atlas Environmental Law Advisory, provides guidance on market mechanisms, including carbon finance and crediting.
We support clients with feasibility assessments, due diligence, and transactional advice, particularly in public-private partnerships. Our team is experienced in both compliance and voluntary carbon markets, including Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, as well as REDD+.
